Autism or ADHD Testing For Adults
I can provide adult assessments for current clients or for non-clients who are curious about making sense of their experiences or need support and accommodations. We will work to identify and diagnose Autism or ADHD, as well as any co-occurring diagnoses or impacting factors.
Getting a diagnosis can be challenging, especially for women, those who are high-masking, or those with co-occurring disorders. Evaluations can be a useful tool to secure accommodations in school or the workplace, gain access to services, or support validation and understanding of your experiences.
Assessments consist of the following:
15-minute consultation to determine if this is a good fit for you.
Questionnaires for you to complete on your own time and send the results to me (1-2 hours). This will inform what assessments to focus on for you, and I will add them to your report.
5 sessions to complete in-person or online assessments together (family or friends are welcome to attend) OR one up to 5-hour session (with breaks) to complete the assessment in one sitting. Plus an additional session (no extra cost) to review results, report delivery, feedback, and provide resources.
A follow-up session to discuss results and explore your questions.
If diagnosed, a letter confirming your diagnosis, a copy of your assessment scores, a report, and a list of resources for further exploration.
Cost is $200 per 50-minute session or $900 for a maximum of one 5-hour session with breaks (plus one additional session needed at another date to review results, provide feedback, and resources.) This includes my work outside our meetings to interpret and write up your results and report documentation. I can provide a superbill to seek insurance reimbursement however, I do not bill insurance myself for this assessment.
Current client? Assessment is at your current session rate.
Note:
If you are planning to apply for disability benefits or other State and Federal services, you will need a full neuropsychological evaluation, which can only be done by a psychologist or psychiatrist, not with me (although bringing my assessments to them may save some time and money).
If you are seeking medication, please note that some prescribers require evaluation by a psychologist or psychiatrist, but many do not. If you have a prescriber, you may want to ask them if my evaluation will be accepted. I have prescriber referrals for those who will accept my assessment.
